Project Spotlight:

Eppington South, Fort Mill Home with Water Feature

We loved designing and installing a custom outdoor lighting system for this home in Eppington South, Fort Mill. From the beautiful architecture of the home itself to the perfectly manicured landscaping and stunning, new water feature, we were able to highlight the best features of this home and property.

Outdoor Lighting Objectives

During the initial design consultation, the homeowners’ lighting objectives were to highlight the architecture of the home and add landscape lighting to their backyard area, specifically their new water feature. In the end, we installed a total of 28 low voltage outdoor lights.

Architectural Lighting

In the front, we used a combination of accent lights to highlight the architecture of the home and some of the plants throughout the landscaping.

Landscape Lighting - Water Feature Lighting

The number one way to create an inviting, nighttime atmosphere in an outdoor living space is to add ambient lighting. The ambient lighting for this backyard area is provided by the gorgeous landscape lighting illuminating the trees and plants lining the perimeter of the yard and the newly installed water feature. From the sitting area on the screened in porch, the water feature and surrounding landscaping create a scene that looks like a live painting.

Notice how the water feature is illuminated from within by underwater lights? We also chose to mount two small downlights in the tree adjacent the water feature to ensure that the feature is also illuminated from above. Without these additional lights, the surrounding rocks and plants would not be visible at night. The finished project is simply gorgeous!
